The conference was part of the Biden Administration’s initiative to end hunger and increase healthy eating and physical activity by 2030, according to a March 29 news release. The initiative aims to reduce the number of Americans experiencing diet-related diseases like diabetes, obesity and hypertension.

The ADA launched efforts to improve diet and nutrition by forming the ADA Presidential Task Force on Sugar, Nutrition, and Diet earlier this year. The task force is responsible for reviewing the dental agency’s policies on sugar, nutrition and diet and proposing changes that would expand the ADA’s involvement with healthcare stakeholders and advance dental-medical collaboration.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
