The American Dental Association is urging lawmakers to include oral health in any healthcare cost reforms.
The ADA sent a letter to the Senate Finance Committee ahead of its Nov. 20 meeting, “Rising Cost of Health Care: Considering Meaningful Solutions for all Americans.”
In the letter, ADA leaders said oral health must be included in any reform strategies and offered recommendations to address rising costs while improving access to care. The recommendations focus on early intervention, updating dental benefit structures, enhancing transparency for dental plans and improvements to Medicaid.
