ADA urges dentists to delay all elective procedures

The American Dental Association is asking all dentists to postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The organization recommended dentists focus on emergency dental services to ease the burden dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.

State dental societies and boards in Illinois and Ohio have released similar recommendations.
