Connecticut State Sen. Bob Duff, D-Norwalk, left the dentist office July 28 after learning his dentist wasn’t vaccinated.

“Was sitting in the chair ready to get numbed up,” Mr. Duff tweeted. “Dentist walked in, we exchanged pleasantries and I asked if he was vaccinated. The answer was, ‘NO’. I was floored.”

The two had a conversation about their differing perspectives, Mr. Duff said.

“I told him I was uncomfortable and left,” Mr. Duff tweeted. “Moral of the story: don’t assume, don’t be afraid to ask and most importantly, don’t be afraid to leave.”

On July 28, the American Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association released statements supporting COVID-19 vaccinations for dental professionals.
