Older adults and nursing facility residents with poor oral hygiene have an increased risk of health problems, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. 

Americans could live longer and the healthcare system would save money if people went to the dentist more often, Gary Kadi, CEO of New York City-based NextLevel Practice, told Thrive Global.

Knoxville, Tenn., dentist Clarence “Buzz” Nabers, DDS, has been accused of submitting forged certifications, improperly sterilizing tools, and asking dental hygienists and assistants to perform duties beyond their scope for four months in 2018, according to Knox News.
