More than 80% of the respondents said that hand examinations are necessary. Overall, the participants support maintaining current exam standards.
Nearly two-thirds oppose allowing dentists licensed under weaker standards in other states to practice in their state, 83% agree that dental professionals should meet state-specific continuing education requirements and 69% agree that current standards should not be lowered.
The survey polled 1,863 registered U.S. voters between Dec. 30, 2024, and Jan. 9, 2025, the release said.
