South Carolina governor willing to suspend elective surgeries again

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said July 8 that he would suspend elective surgeries again if needed, according to WLTX.

At a briefing in late June regarding the state’s hospital capacity, Mr. McMaster said he is willing to suspend elective surgeries again. He reiterated this sentiment July 8.

More than 75 percent of South Carolina’s hospital beds are at capacity, according to a July 8 release from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
