Enamel, dentin, cementum and alveolar bone are the four mineralized tissues that make up the dentoalveolar complex, according to a Nov. 6 news release from the ADA.
Those four tissues are affected by inherited disorders, which can interrupt phosphate and pyrophosphate homeostasis, in turn leading to reduced mineralization.
The research examines novel treatments for mineralization disorders, investigation original data and comparative analyses.
