3 dental technologies receiving FDA clearance

Here are three dental technologies that have received FDA clearance since June:

1. Convergent Dental received FDA 510(k) clearance Oct. 12 for the first and only dental laser to reduce mineral loss in dental enamel. 

2. SmileGuard resin, a new 3D printing material developed by Desktop Metal, received FDA 510(k) clearance Oct. 6.

3. Neocis, a dental robotics manufacturer, received FDA 510(k) clearance June 30 for its robotic dental workflow software, YomiPlan Go.
