Advanced Facialdontics is an oral orthotic company and maker of two FDA-cleared devices. Vivos acquired the two technologies along with the patent portfolio and product rights, according to a March 1 news release.

Vivos said the acquisition allows it to treat patients who experience jaw pain, headaches and daytime fatigue. The company said it expects to manufacture the new products through its existing manufacturing relationships.

Scott Simonetti, DDS, founder and CEO of Advanced Facialdontics and inventor of the acquired patents, was also appointed senior director of research and product development at Vivos Therapeutics.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
