Dental labs Posca Brothers Dental Laboratory, Artisan Dental Laboratory and Express Dental Laboratory are among many which have adopted the TrueDent 3D printed dentures solution from Stratasys Ltd., BusinessWire reported June 28.
Stratasys TrueDent aims to redefine the industry by improving aesthetics, production speed, fit and workflow for full-color dental appliances, the report says. The resin is light-curable — an alternative to traditional heat-curable and auto polymerizing resins.
TrueDent is the first solution to offer permanent, natural-looking gums and a variety of tooth shades in one continuous print, according to the report. It is currently patent pending and only available in the United States.
