5 dental technology updates from September

From dental implant robots to a new digital lab at a dental school, here are five dental technology updates that Becker’s reported on in September:

1. Chuck Pitts, DMD, a dental surgeon at Refresh Me Dental Center in LaGrange, Ga., has used the Yomi Robotic Dental System for more than 100 implant procedures.

2. Philadelphia-based Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry opened a 1,000-square-foot digital dental lab. 

3. Business software company Weave launched Practice Analytics as part of its suite of dental software. 

4. Align Technology created the Invisalign Palatal Expanders System as an alternative to metal palatal expanders.

5. Align Technology entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cubicure, a 3D printing company based in Vienna.
