The cartridge allows dentists to administer local anesthesia that is faster-acting and less painful for patients, according to a May 25 news release.

The anesthesia comes in a standard dental cartridge, making it so there is no new training or equipment required.

The product is still in development and has not been approved by the FDA and is not available for sale in the U.S., the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
