By being cloud-native, the scanner can be used with any mobile or desktop device that is connected to the internet and does not require a dedicated computer, according to a Sept. 5 news release.

Primescan 2 gives dental practices the ability to expand services, improving efficiency and workflows compared to previous Primescan models. A full arch scan can be taken in less than one minute using the scanner.

Scans that are made with Primescan 2 are automatically processed and stored on DS Core, which allows consultations, lab ordering and treatment to be done independently from one another, the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
