The Yomi Robotic Dental System is the first FDA-cleared, robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S. The robot helps increase the speed, efficiency and accuracy of dental implant procedures. The system has earned 16 FDA clearances and has been used to complete more than 40,000 implants.

Dr. Thompson began using the robot 14 months ago at his practice in Saratoga Springs, Utah, according to a March 5 LinkedIn post.

Neocis, which manufactures the robot, said Dr. Thompson is now the fastest dentist to place 1,000 implants robotically.
