Volunteers will clean and remove teeth, fill cavities, perform root canals and insert partial dentures starting at 5 a.m. Oct. 18 and ending Oct. 19. The clinic, located at Bojangles’ Coliseum, will have more than 100 dental chairs.
“This is our fifth time hosting the clinic in Charlotte and our success is entirely due to the generosity of people who give their time and financial support to help people in pain and in need,” Scott Davenport, DDS, clinic chairman, told The Charlotte Post.
Officially known as the NCMOM-Kenneth D. Owen-Charlotte Clinic, the clinic is named after the late Kenneth Owen, DDS, a Charlotte orthodontist who founded the effort. The clinic is entirely funded and organized locally by volunteers.
