Twelve notable deals to know:
1. Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist expanded its network into Virginia by partnering with Arlington Dental Team.
2. Houston-based Specialty1 Partners completed a multispecialty joint venture between two practices in Ohio.
3. Minneapolis-based Park Dental Partners made its first addition in Arizona in January, adding Sunlight Dental in Phoenix.
4. Chicago-based Phase 1 Equity added a multi-site orthodontic practice, its second practice in New Jersey.
5. Troy, Mich.-based Smile Partners USA expanded into Ohio, its sixth market.
6. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Premier Care Dental Management acquired Blank Dental Group, a three-location practice in Ohio.
7. Chicago-based The Sonrisa Group expanded its network into Florida with an acquisition and multiple location openings.
8. Overland Park, Kan.-based Aria Care Partners entered Arizona with the acquisition of Coronado Dental.
9. Standard Dental Labs, a Florida-based dental laboratory consolidator, acquired BRLIT Dental Laboratory in Sarasota, Fla.
10. Devinn Geeson, DDS, acquired three continuing education brands in the dental industry.
11. Dental equipment company Solmetex acquired ReLeaf, an evacuation tool manufacturer for hygiene and clinical procedures.
12. Principal Financial Group, a provider of dental benefits, entered into a definitive agreement with Southland Benefit Solutions to acquire DentaNet, the largest dental network in Alabama.
