3 drug cases involving former dentists in 6 months

1. Former dentist Vivian Letizia of Stone Ridge, N.Y., was sentenced to one year of probation for fraudulently obtaining opioids.

2. Former Oregon dentist Salwan Adjaj pleaded guilty to illegally distributing and possessing controlled substances.

2. Former dentist William Dalton Thomas of Hillsboro, Ohio-based New Market Family Dentistry received a five-year federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to two drug-related counts.
