Dentsply Sirona acquires dental technology company: 5 insights

Dentsply Sirona acquired Cleverdent, a dental technology company based in Munster, Germany, according to Zenopa.

Here are five insights:

1. Cleverdent developed ClasenUNO, a tool combining the functionality of dental mirror with a high-volume evacuation tip.

2. ClasenUNO enables dentists to perform two-handed dentistry during typically four-handed procedures. The hope is to allow dental assistants to concentrate on other tasks.

3. Cleverdent designed the device to be used during wet and dry procedures as well as both preventive and restorative applications.

4. The tool was first showcased in 2015 at the International Dental Show, March 10 to 14 in Colonge, Germany. Since then it has launched in various European markets.

5. Dentsply Sirona Interim Vice President for Global Preventives Mark Trimmer told Zenopa, “This product provides our customers with innovative technology and enhances Dentsply Sirona’s dental procedures to supports more efficient clinical outcomes.”
