Georgia woman who falsely practiced now under investigation in 2nd city: 5 things to know

A Paulding Count, Ga.-based woman was charged with practicing dentistry without a license. The woman is now being investigated in Cobb County, Ga., for the same allegations, according to WSB-TV Atlanta.

Here are five things to know:

1. Investigators allege the phony dentist practiced dentistry illegally for seven years. She faces 48 indictments for practicing without a license, insurance fraud and falsifying prescriptions.

2. Now, authorities allege the phony dentist was also illegally practicing at County Dental in Cobb County. A second investigation has opened.

3. The Georgia Board of Dentistry reports the law only permits them to inform law enforcement and licensing agencies.

4. Investigators claim the phony dentist damaged 18 victims' teeth. However, not all patients have reported damage.

5. Charges against the woman date back to 2013. Officials from both investigations are seeking more information from patients at either location.
