Here are five dental companies making headlines.

East Syracuse, N.Y.-based Aspen Dental  opened four practices in different states Sept. 25.

Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics  opened its 200th California practice.

Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental  celebrated the opening of its dental hygiene lab at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill.

A Los Angeles woman was awarded $28 million in damages in an age discrimination lawsuit against her former employer Danaher. The lawsuit alleged she was forced out of Sybron Dental Specialties and KaVo Kerr Group, both Danaher subsidiaries in Orange, Calif.

East Syracuse, N.Y.-based Aspen Dental Management  hired four senior leaders. Three out of the four will be based at its new Chicago support office.
