Beam Dental currently has 50 employees in Columbus. The dental insurer decided to expand after the city granted Beam a state tax incentive.
Along with Beam Dental, Sam’s Club plans to create 525 jobs with an annual payroll of $17.5 million, reports The Columbus Dispatch.
Along with providing dental insurance, Beam offers perks to members, including toothbrushes, tooth paste and refill heads that are shipped to members’ homes twice a year. The toothbrushes sync to members’ smartphones for Beam to track brushing patterns.
