Connecticut dentist crashes two cars in same day — 5 insights

Scott David Cohen, DDS, owner of Trumbull (Conn.) Smiles Family Dental, was involved in two separate accidents on the same road Aug. 13, the newstimes reports.

What you should know:

1. Dr. Cohen was driving a pickup truck when he allegedly strayed from his lane and stuck a utility pole around 1 p.m. He fled the scene and was found 5 miles away at a Rite Aid. Police arrested him.

2. He was released later in the day on a $1,000 bond.

3. Around 5 p.m., Dr. Cohen crashed his 2019 Dodge Challenger in a head-on collision. Dr. Cohen allegedly crossed over into the oncoming lane and collided into a 2009 Acura.

4. Despite both cars sustaining heavy damage, both drivers were uninjured.

5. Dr. Cohen was not intoxicated and received only a ticket for failure to stay in his lane.
