Here's the latest roundup of dental companies that have been in the headlines, including Patterson Companies and SmileDirectClub.

1. SmileDirectClub shares dropped 20 percent after the company announced its third quarter 2019 earnings on Nov. 12.

2. SmileDirectClub announced Nov. 12 total revenue for the 2019 third quarter was $180.3 million.

3. Formlabs is launching a new 3D printer to make crowns and bridges, clear retainers, surgical guides for dental implant procedures, custom mouthguards and dentures.

4. Patterson Companies entered a settlement agreement with the Federal Trade Commission after a judge ruled that the company illegally colluded with Benco Dental Supply Co. in a price-fixing arrangement.

5. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services announced Nov. 12 the opening of its first supported practice in Illinois.

6. Irvine, Calif.-based Smile Brands announced Nov. 11 the opening of an affiliated Bright Now Dental office in Lodi, Calif.

7. Delta Dental of Arizona has notified patients of a July phishing scheme that could have exposed their protected health information.
