Henry Schein announced Dec. 1 that it was partnering with Ivoclar Vivadent AG to distribute a new wireless milling system.

The PrograMill One Milling System, from Ivoclar Vivadent, is a self-contained, wireless unit that allows the mill to be placed anywhere in a dental practice. The system does not require separate filtration or suction units.

Per the agreement, Ivoclar Vivadent will supply the milling system in the first half of 2020. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"As a company, Henry Schein is committed to open architecture and to bringing the broadest and best range of digital technology to dental professionals. We aspire to be the resource our customers can rely on for expert advice and guidance in transforming their practice to digital," said Johnathan Koch, senior vice president and CEO of Henry Schein's global dental group.
