The three-year grant was given to Chicago-based Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center Department of Dentistry, whose anesthesiology residency program works alongside the general practice residency and special needs dentistry programs.

Each year, over 3,000 adults and children with developmental disabilities receive treatment through the Special Patient Dental Care Program, according to Advocate Health Care’s website.
