Only half of dentists being paid in full, ADA poll finds

Patient volume in dental practices reached 65 percent of pre-pandemic levels during the week of June 15, according to the latest survey round from the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute.

The ADA involved nearly 5,000 dentists nationwide in the survey. Here are other notable findings from the week of June 15:

  • Ninety-seven percent of dental offices reported reopening for elective procedures.

  • Eighty-five percent of dentists reported paying their staff fully.

  • More than half of employee dentists reported being fully paid.
