California dentist ‘slammed’ as appointments fill up

As COVID-19 cases decline across California, a dental practice in Santa Barbara, Calif., is busy with a backlog of patients who are now ready to get back on the schedule after missing routine care, local ABC/CBS affiliate KEYT reported April 26.

“Honestly we have been slammed,” Linda Miloud, office manager at Johnson Family Dental in Santa Barbara told the news station. The practice is already booked for cleaning appointments through the summer.

Steve Johnson, DDS, said the office staff and most of his patients have been vaccinated.

“Now we are doing a lot of larger fillings or root canals and putting out a lot of fires,” he said.
