Maine Dental Association elects new board president

Dr. Desjardins, who practices in Presque Isle, earned her dental degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, The County reported July 15. Previously a member of the Health Services Advisory Committee, she learned of the large number of children not receiving preventive and restorative dental care, which led her to establish a nonprofit dental office, the St. Apollonia Dental Clinic of Presque Isle.
