Pennsylvania dentist faces sexual extortion charges after allegedly groping woman

A Pennsylvania dentist has been charged with sexual extortion after allegedly exposing himself and groping a woman at his practice, ABC affliate WNEP reported Aug. 2.

Scott Parkinson, DMD, is the owner of Tremont (Pa.) Dentistry. He was charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure and sexual extortion on Aug. 2, according to court documents.

Dr. Parkinson allegedly inappropriately touched a woman in his office multiple times and exposed himself, according to WNEP.

While investing the woman's claims, authorities discovered that a former patient reported the dentist for sexual assault in 2017; those charges are reflected in the court documents.

Dr. Parkinson is currently in Schuylkill County Jail in Pottsville, Pa.
