3 dental practice acquisitions in 8 days

Three dental practices recently purchased new property to expand their businesses.

Details:

  1. Thacker Riverside Dental Care in Livermore, Ky., is spending more than $250,000 to add  750 square feet to its building. The expansion will include two treatment rooms, a consultation room, a shipping and receiving room and an accessible bathroom and ramp for people with disabilities.
  2. Matt Penz, DDS, of Penz Dental Care in Rochester, Minn., purchased property for $2.75 million to relocate his practice. The practice will move into a 3,500-square-foot space next year to accommodate its expanded staff. 
  3. Bangor (Maine) Children’s Dentistry purchased a dental clinic in Rumford, saving the clinic from its closure brought on by staffing shortages. The clinic had been without a dentist since November 2021 and was scheduled to close in September. The clinic will open in December and continue its operations as Rumford Children’s Dentistry.
