Here are four dentists who have been disciplined by state dental boards so far this year:

1. The Georgia Board of Dentistry suspended the license of Justin Scott, DMD, on March 2.

2. The Virginia Board of Dentistry denied a request to reinstate the license of a dentist who was convicted of taking part in an opioid fraud scheme.

3. Faisal Quereshy, MD, DDS, had his anesthesia permit permanently revoked and his license suspended indefinitely following the death of a patient.

4. The Iowa Dental Board sanctioned Jeffrey Rubel, DDS, for allegedly overdiagnosing patients.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
