The CEO of a snap-on veneer company filed a lawsuit against a Missouri dentist for criticisms made about the product in a recent YouTube video, Springfield News-Leader reported Jan. 15.
Grant Olson, DDS, of Springfield-based Innovative Dental, made a YouTube video Nov. 3 speaking out against snap-on veneers, saying they are unregulated and cause significant damage to teeth, among other claims.
Bil Watson, owner of Fort Worth, Texas-based Brighter Image Lab, which makes snap-on veneers, filed a federal lawsuit against the dentist alleging defamation and slander. He is seeking an injunction on the video and monetary damages.
A representative from Innovative Dental declined to discuss the lawsuit with the news organization.
