Pennsylvania dentist to relocate office after violent incidents

A Pennsylvania dentist said he plans to relocate his practice out of downtown Pittsburgh after several violent incidents that have taken place in the area, ABC affiliate WTAE reported Jan. 20.

Christopher Hayner, DMD, is the owner of Hayner Dental. He said the incidents downtown have put his patients and staff in harm's way. A fatal shooting that took place Jan. 19 was his breaking point after four years of increasing crime in the area.

"Their safety, getting into the office, leaving the office, no matter what time of day it is. I'm relocating out of the Downtown Triangle," Dr. Hayner said.
