New York man charged for allegedly posing as dentist

A New York City man was arraigned on three felony charges for allegedly practicing dentistry without a license in White Plains, N.Y.

Cesar Masso, 78, allegedly operated his false practice out of a White Plains storefront set up as East Post Dental, according to a March 17 news release from the Westchester County district attorney. He allegedly provided dental services including tooth extractions, anesthetics and pain management.

White Plains police began investigating the practice after someone who had allegedly received dental services there reported issues with the treatment they received.

Mr. Masso was arrested by White Plains police March 9 and arraigned March 16. He was charged with three counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, the release said.
