Wisconsin dentist takes over nearly 100-year-old practice after father's retirement

A Wisconsin dentist is taking over her father's practice following his retirement, Kenosha News reported April 12.

James Fulmer, DDS, retired in March after nearly 40 years in dentistry. His family history includes a dozen dentists that have collectively provided dental care for nearly a century.

Fulmer Dentistry in Kenosha opened in 1928 and added its second location in 1998. The practice also grew from five employees to 13 full-time employees.

Dr. Fulmer's daughter, Kaleigh Fulmer McGhee, DDS, is taking over the practice along with newly hired associate dentist Matt Mueller, DDS. Dr. Fulmer will maintain a business management role to ensure a successful transition.
