The Community Clinic of Shelbyville and Bedford County in Shelbyville, Tenn., received $100,000 in state funding, according to a May 23 report by News Channel 5 Nashville.
The clinic, which provides both dental and medical care to low-income and uninsured patients, is the only low-cost clinic in Bedford county.
The funding will be used to expand operation hours and to hire a part-time dentist in July, the report said.
Services offered at the clinic include tooth extractions, dentures and basic dental care.
