1. Introduced legislation to implement a medical loss ratio in Illinois. With this law, dental insurers would be required to spend at least 80 percent of dollars on patient care.
2. Passed legislation giving dentists the ability to opt out of insurance networks when they are leased. Insurers must notify dentists when the network is being leased.
3. Passed legislation prohibiting insurance companies from forcing dentists to pay the processing fees on electronic payment transactions.
4. Introduced legislation protecting patients using direct-to-consumer clear aligners.
5. Introduced legislation to more clearly define when Illinois Medicaid patients are eligible for orthodontic care.
6. Passed legislation clarifying aspects of the Illinois Dental Practice Act.
