Wei Guo, DMD, MD, allegedly failed to provide safe care to patients by administering anesthesia without two appropriate team members present and providing care to a patient without a dental assistant or appropriately trained anesthesia monitor present, according to a July 20 news release.

Dr. Guo has 20 days to respond to the charges and ask for a hearing.

Editor’s note: This article was updated July 26 at 2:10 p.m. CT. A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Dr. Guo cannot practice in the state. The suspension only applies to his anesthesia license.
