Brianna Anderson, a former dental practice manager in Sierra Vista, Ariz., has been arrested for fraud, theft and money laundering.
While Ms. Anderson served as the office manager of Canyon Vista Dental, she allegedly stole more than $40,000 in cash and checks from the practice, according to an Aug. 28 news release from the Sierra Vista Police Department.
One of Ms. Anderson's responsibilities at the practice was making daily cash and check deposits for Canyon Vista Dental.
An investigation by Sierra Vista police found that Ms. Anderson missed deposits from May 2022 to June 2023.
Ms. Anderson was arrested Aug. 22 on charges of fraudulent schemes, theft and money laundering and was booked at Cochise County Jail. She has since been released, the release said.
