Batesville, Ark.-based Lyon College released plans for the site of its upcoming dental school.
The School of Oral Health and Dental Medicine will be housed on Heifer International’s Little Rock campus along with the college's new School of Veterinary Medicine, according to an Oct. 9 news release.
Lyon College President Melissa Taverner, PhD, said the college will announce the groundbreaking date for the site soon.
The state's first dental school is expected to welcome its first class of students in 2024 or 2025. Burke Soffe, DMD, was appointed dean of the dental school in January.
