10 best states for dentists to retire in 2024

Florida was ranked as the best state to retire in, according to personal finance site WalletHub's Jan. 22 rankings.

The rankings used three major dimensions: affordability, quality of life and healthcare, which were broken down into 46 metrics. 

Affordability was worth up to 40 total points, while quality of life and healthcare were each worth up to 30 points. 

Here are WalletHub's best 10 states to retire in, along with their score out of 100:

1. Florida: 62.19

2. Colorado: 61

3. Virginia: 60.85

4. Delaware: 59.57

5. Wyoming: 59.04

6. Idaho: 58.46

7. New Hampshire: 57.75

8. Minnesota: 57.53

9. Montana: 57.17

10. Pennsylvania: 56.28
