Carlsbad, Calif.-based Oral Genome, a salivary diagnostics developer, is partnering with Global Group to combat oral health disparities worldwide.
Global Group is a healthcare-focused international development and consulting company. Oral Genome's test aims to enhance early detection by evaluating risks for dental caries, periodontal disease, halitosis and diabetes.
Through this pilot initiative, the companies will deploy Oral Genome's salivary test kit in regions that traditionally lack adequate care, including in the U.S., EMEA, South Asia and Central Asia, according to a May 24 news release. The project ultimately aims to create models that reduce oral health disparities and document the impact of integrated technologies.
