5 dental industry updates in North Carolina

Here are five dental industry updates that have taken place in North Carolina since Dec. 5:

1. St. Mary Health Center Medical and Dental Clinic in Wilmington, N.C., purchased a new building to continue seeing patients after receiving a $695,000 grant.

2. James Crenshaw, DDS, retired after 42 years of service, leaving his North Carolina office under new ownership.

3. Weldon, N.C.-based Halifax Community College received a $500,000 grant for the creation of a dental assistant program. 

4. Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened an office in Goldsboro, N.C., on Dec. 5.

5. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care opened an Affordable Dentures & Implants office in New Bern, N.C., on Dec. 5.
