5 dental industry updates in Tennessee

Here are five dental industry updates that have taken place in Tennessee since Oct. 2:

1. Lydia Lancaster, DDS, and Thomas Garrity, DDS, opened a joint office housing Franklin Orthodontic Center and Little Smiles of Franklin. 

2. A car crashed into the Franklin (Tenn.) Dental Care Nov. 28

3. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Legacy Dental Group acquired Chattanooga Family Dentistry.

4. Helen Jang, DDS, and Sydney Olson, DDS, partnered to open St. Elmo Dental in Chattanooga, Tenn.

5. Michael Sawaf, DMD, and Premier Dental Group of Knoxville (Tenn.) agreed to pay $985,541 to resolve allegations that they submitted false claims to the state’s Medicaid program.
