Here are five dentists that have been disciplined by state courts or dental boards since June 13:
1. The Pennsylvania Superior Court upheld an $11.5 million verdict against a Pennsylvania dentist who failed to diagnose and treat a patient’s oral cancer.
2. A California dentist was convicted of several sex-related charges against patients and an extern.
3. Ronny Rodriguez, DMD, agreed to surrender his license after facing allegations of sexual misconduct.
4. Ryan Ulibarri, DDS, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for tax evasion.
5. A Virginia dentist was awarded $1.85 million after a court ruled that his former employer made defamatory statements before terminating him. The Virginia Court of Appeals upheld a $1.85 million verdict against Charles Brown, DDS.
