1. An Ohio dentist who was being investigated by the state after a patient’s death has decided to retire and surrender his dental license.
2. The Northeast Ohio Medical University appointed Sorin Teich, DMD, as the inaugural dean of its Bitonte College of Dentistry.
3. Charles Edelen, DDS, will retire from MidWest Ohio Dental Care on June 16 after 40 years in the industry.
4. A dental practice manager in Pataskala, Ohio, was sentenced to six months in prison for filing false tax returns and not paying more than $760,000 in taxes.
5. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added Fort Loramie (Ohio) Dental Center to its network.
6. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine plans to seek funds for a pilot program to expand access to dental services for low-income families.
