7 dentists making headlines

1. David Lustbader, DMD, completed the world’s first full arch robotic dental implant using Neocis’ Yomi-Go workflow.

2. The Rochester (N.Y.) Amerks hockey team and Highland Hospital in Rochester cut ties with Nicholas Nicosia, DDS, after he and his wife were accused of hosting a racist and misogynistic Juneteenth party at their home.

3. Mike Costa, DDS, of Malone and Costa Dentistry in Knoxville, Tenn., began offering robotic-assisted dental implant surgery using the Yomi Robotic Dental System.

4. Lily Garcia, DDS, will join Texas A&M University College of Dentistry as its new dean in October. 

5. David Webb, DDS, of Vacaville, Calif., was allowed to continue practicing dentistry by a judge after he was accused of sexually abusing, harassing and assaulting patients.

6. Domenick Zero, DDS, was given the 2022 Norton M. Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research by the American Dental Association.

7. Elizabeth Andrews, DDS, was appointed dean at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, Calif.
