ADSO released a report detailing key trends in the dental industry for 2024, including workforce shortages, diversity and changes in practice types.

The report found that the majority of dentists now work in a group practice, with only 36% of dentists working at a solo practice. Thirteen percent of dentists are now affiliated with a DSO.

ADSO also noted that DSO affiliation was most common among early career dentists and female dentists in 2023.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
