Alabama dentist charged with arson, insurance fraud after practice explosion

An Alabama dentist has been charged months after an explosion at his dental practice, WKRG reported Jan. 26. 

Douglas O’Connor, DMD, turned himself into police Jan. 23 and was charged with second-degree arson and first-degree insurance fraud. 

The arrest came after a 10-month-long investigation into an explosion at Dr. O’Connor’s practice in Evergreen, Ala.
